About me
Hi, I’m Alex and I recently moved from the Mountains of Innsbruck/Austria to the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney with my husband. I’m now looking forward to offer yoga here and to practice together with you in this beautiful community.
Here a brief overview of my yoga journey and me ;)
It all began in 2003 when I first stepped onto the yoga mat. From the very first moment, I was hooked, and since then, I can’t imagine a life without yoga. After several years of diving deeper and deeper into my own practice (as well as raising my son who also came into my life in 2003) I decided to finally take the leap and follow my passion. In 2010, I completed my first teacher training, and since then, I’ve not only been a passionate yogini but, even more so, a passionate yoga teacher.
At home, I worked as a full-time and self-employed yoga teacher for over 12 years. In addition to weekly classes at studios and corporate settings, I regularly led workshops on a variety of topics (beginners, arm balances, sequencing, as well as various yoga therapy themes).
Since 2018, I’ve also been leading Yin Yoga & Anatomy teacher trainings.
I’m now excited to offer and share yoga here in the Northern Beaches. My approach is non-dogmatic and grounded. My focus is always on my students and their individual needs. I strive to meet each person where they are, whether as part of a group or individually.
My trainings
I completed my first yoga teacher training at YogaWorks (a fusion of Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Viniyoga), and numerous additional trainings followed. These include a 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training with Mark Stephens, various trainings in Yin Yoga, Functional Yoga, Yoga Therapy, (Yoga) Anatomy, Injury Prevention & Management, Aerial Yoga, Kinesiology (Touch for Health), and more.
Recently, I also completed a Pranayama & Breathwork Teacher Training.
In addition, I am a certified fitness, personal, and health trainer.
All these different styles and trainings are reflected in my teaching.
I look forward to welcoming you on the mat soon! Let’s practice together :)
